Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough (16.5 oz)
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ sup fresh blueberries
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  • Bake Cookie Crust: Preheat your oven to the temperature on the cookie dough package. Press the dough evenly into a round pizza pan to make one big crust. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
  • (If you do not let it cool, your frosting will melt into a messy puddle!)
  • Mix Cream Cheese & Sugar: In a medium bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and sugar together. Use a hand mixer until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
  • Spread on Crust: Spread the sweet cream cheese mixture evenly over your cooled cookie crust. Leave a tiny border around the edge so you can see the golden crust.
  • Arrange Fruit Like the Flag: Put the blueberries in a square in the top left corner to look like the stars. Arrange your sliced strawberries in neat rows across the rest of the pizza to make the red stripes.

Notes

  • Watch the Bake: Pull the crust out when edges are light golden brown to keep it chewy.
  • Cool Completely: Never frost a warm crust, or the cream cheese will melt into a puddle.
  • Soften First: Use room-temperature cream cheese to avoid stubborn lumps in the frosting.
  • Pat Berries Dry: Wet fruit makes the frosting runny; dry them well before decorating.
