Ingredients

For the Sparkling Punch Base:

  • 2 bottles (25.4 oz each) sparkling white grape juice or sparkling apple cider, chilled
  • 1 bottle (2 liters) ginger ale or lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 1 container (59 oz) cranberry-raspberry juice, lemonade, or guava nectar, chilled
  • 1 quart strawberry or pineapple sorbet (optional, for a creamy top)

For the Floating Fruit Garnish & Ice Rim:

  • cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries or blueberries
  • 1 lemon and 1 lime, thinly sliced into rounds
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
  • Ice ring or large ice cubes made with fruit and juice

Instructions

  • Chill All Ingredients: Put your sparkling cider, ginger ale, and fruit juices in the fridge. Let them get nice and cold for at least 3 hours before you start.
  • Prepare the Fruit and Ice: Wash all your fruit well. Slice the strawberries and cut the citrus into thin rounds. If you are making an ice ring, fill a bundt pan with fruit slices and cranberry juice, then freeze it overnight so it does not water down your punch.
  • Assemble the Punch: Place your ice ring or big ice cubes into a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser. Pour in the fruit juice base first. Gently pour in the chilled ginger ale and sparkling cider. Stir it very lightly with a long spoon so you keep all those fun bubbles.
  • Float Fruit and Serve: Scatter your sliced strawberries, raspberries, and citrus wheels right on top. If you are using sorbet, add a few small scoops to the surface just before guests arrive to make a foamy layer. Serve it cold and enjoy!

Notes

  • Color Match: Easily customize your punch color to match your party theme by swapping out the main juice.
  • Prevent Dilution: Skip regular ice cubes and use a frozen fruit ring to keep the bowl cold without watering down the drink.
  • Preserve Fizz: Always pour your ginger ale and sparkling cider in last, and stir the bowl as gently as possible.
