Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 works best)
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 6 brioche buns
  • 12 slices bacon, cooked crispy
  • Fresh lettuce and tomato slices
  • Burger sauce (mix mayo and a little ketchup)

Instructions

  • Put your beef in a big bowl. Add the onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix it gently with your hands. Do not overwork the meat or it will get tough.
  • Split the meat into 6 balls. Shape them into patties. Push a small dent in the middle of each. This helps them cook flat.
  • Heat your grill or skillet to medium-high. Sprinkle the outside of the patties with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Add a slice of cheese in the last minute so it melts perfectly.
  • Toast your buns while the meat rests.
  • Spread your sauce on the bun. Add lettuce, tomato, the patty, and the crispy bacon. Enjoy!

Notes

Recipe Notes

  • Keep beef cold until shaping.
  • Mix spices in gently.
  • Press a center dimple in patties.
  • Melt cheese in the final minute.
