Equipment

  • Cookie Sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Cellophane Pretzel Bags

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white vanilla melting wafers
  • 1 cup chocolate melting wafers
  • 24 pretzel rods
  • Valentines colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  • Place each of the melting wafers in separate bowls or jars.
  • Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl by heating it in 30-second intervals until completely melted. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate over a double boiler with simmering water in the lower pot.
  • Spread or dip chocolate on ⅔ of each pretzel rod, making sure to wipe off excess chocolate.
  • Add sprinkles to the chocolate-covered pretzel rods while the chocolate is still warm.
  • Place the pretzel rods on parchment paper to cool and harden.

Notes

  • If your microwave is very powerful, reduce the heating intervals to 15-20 seconds.
  • Heat just one type of chocolate at a time if working alone.
  • If the chocolate becomes difficult to work with, reheat it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds and stir well.
  • Work over a baking sheet when adding sprinkles to collect any wayward ones.
  • Store the cooled and hardened pretzel rods in an airtight container in a single layer, with waxed paper or parchment paper between each layer.
