Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (16.3 oz)
  • 6 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 18 small cubes
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Prep: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Stuff: Flatten each biscuit round and cut it in half to make 18 pieces total. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center of each piece. Roll the dough tightly around the cheese to form a neat ball.
  • Arrange: Place the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
  • Bake: Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the tops are beautifully golden brown.
  • Coat: While they bake, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, Italian seasoning, and salt in a small bowl.
  • Finish: As soon as the balls come out of the oven, brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture. Serve warm while the cheese is still melty!

Notes

  • The Best Cheese: Use block mozzarella, not fresh mozzarella in water, to avoid soggy dough. Try cheddar or pepper jack for a twist!
  • Quick Shortcut: Use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder instead of fresh garlic to save time.
  • Make-Ahead: Assemble the balls early, cover the baking sheet tightly, and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Prevent Blowouts: Keep the dough thick when flattening and pinch the seams tightly to seal the cheese inside.
