Ingredients

For the Wings:

  • 50 chicken wings
  • ¼ all-purpose flour
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ½ cup honey
  • cup soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 425°F. Pat the chicken wings dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Coat the Wings: Toss the wings with flour, salt, and black pepper. Shake off any excess flour and brush lightly with olive oil or use an olive oil spray.
  • Bake: Line a baking sheet with foil and parchment paper. Arrange the wings in a single layer and bake for 35 minutes, flipping at the 20-minute mark.
  • Prepare the Sauce While the wings are baking, combine all sauce ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Coat & Bake Again: Remove the wings from the oven, toss them in the honey garlic sauce, and return them to the oven for another 10 minutes, flipping after 5 minutes.
  • Let Cool & Serve: Allow the wings to cool for about 10 minutes. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools. Stir the wings every few minutes to ensure an even coating.

Notes

Pro Tips for the Best Wings

  • Extra Crispiness: Dry the wings thoroughly before coating them in flour.
  • Even Coating: Toss the wings well in the sauce and allow them to sit for a few minutes before serving.
  • Storage: Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
