Ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies (crushed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for a smoother coating)
  • Black gel icing (for decorating)

Instructions

  • Crush the Cookies: Toss your Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbs.
  • Mix it Up: In a large bowl, combine the crushed cookies with the softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform.
  • Roll into Balls: Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place them neatly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill: Pop the baking sheet into the fridge for about 30 minutes until the truffles are firm.
  • Coat in White Chocolate: Melt your white chocolate chips along with the coconut oil until smooth. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, letting any excess drip off, and return to the parchment paper.
  • Bring Jack to Life: Once the white chocolate coating has set, use your black gel icing to draw Jack Skellington's signature eyes, nose, and stitched smile. Let them set completely before serving and enjoying!

Notes

Tips:

  • Chill the Dough: Always make sure your cream cheese and cookie mixture is fully chilled before you try to dip the balls into warm chocolate.
  • Smooth Dipping: Stirring a little coconut oil into your white chocolate helps it melt evenly and prevents it from getting too thick to work with.
  • Complete Drying: Let the white chocolate shell harden completely at room temperature or in the fridge before you draw the faces so the gel icing stays crisp.
  • Bite-Sized Portions: Stick to one tablespoon of mixture per ball so the truffles cook and chill evenly while staying easy to eat in a single bite.
