Ingredients

  • 10 oz penne pasta
  • ½ tsp salt

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Start by cooking your penne pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain it and set it aside.
  • Cook the Chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt. Once it’s melted, sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds. Stir in the flour to form a paste, then slowly whisk in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese. Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Combine Everything: Add the chicken back into the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Stir until everything is well-coated in the creamy sauce.
