  • 1 wheel brie cheese
  • 1 cup aged cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup smoked gouda cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup marinated feta cheese, cubed (or goat cheese)

Crunch & Carbs:

  • 5 bread twists (garlic & rosemary)
  • Assorted crackers
  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, walnuts, cashews)

Fruit & Sweets:

  • 1 handful red seedless grapes
  • Dried apricots
  • Fresh figs, halved
  • Pears, sliced
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Honey
  • Fig jam

Extras & Briny Bites:

  • 1 handful mixed olives
  • Mini pickles (cornichons)
  • Fresh rosemary or herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare your board: Start with a large wooden board or platter. Place small bowls on the board for olives, honey, fig jam, and nuts.
  • Add the cheeses: Arrange brie, aged cheddar, smoked gouda, and marinated feta (or goat cheese) on the board, leaving space between each item.
  • Add the meats: Fold and arrange prosciutto and salami around the cheeses.
  • Fill in with crunch: Add bread twists, crackers, baguette slices, and mixed nuts in the empty spaces.
  • Add the fruit: Arrange grapes, dried apricots, figs, pear slices, pomegranate seeds, and mini pickles around the board.
  • Add the extras: Place mixed olives, honey, and fig jam in the small bowls on the board.
  • Garnish and serve: Add fresh rosemary or herbs, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
  • Pro Tip: Use a variety of colors, shapes, and textures to make your board visually appealing!

Notes

  • Keep it Balanced: Aim for a mix of hard, soft, salty, and sweet items so every bite feels exciting.
  • Size Matters: Cut your hard cheeses into bite-sized cubes or triangles so guests do not have to wrestle with a knife on a crowded board.
  • Protect Your Wood: If your board is not food-safe or treated, lay down a piece of parchment paper before adding your ingredients.
  • Fill the Gaps: Do not be afraid to pack nuts, pomegranate seeds, and crackers into every little empty space so the board looks full and abundant.
