When I’m looking for an easy quick keto breakfast, I often turn to smoothies. This version is packed with nutritious strawberries and looks as good as it tastes.
One of my favorite ways to begin each morning is with a cold smoothie packed with delicious and healthy ingredients. This keto strawberry smoothie is everything you could wish for and more in a smoothie. With a delicious berry taste, you’ll look forward to getting up every morning.
HOW DO YOU MAKE A KETO STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE?
Smoothies are an extremely delicious and easy breakfast that takes just 5 minutes of effort. Grab some frozen strawberries, coconut milk, strawberries, coconut oil, vegan collagen, and monk fruit. All of the ingredients go into a blender and are mixed until smooth. That’s all there is to it!
I love using coconut milk when making my strawberry smoothie. It’s inexpensive, readily available, and has a great neutral flavor base. There are plenty of other liquid options that work just as well in place of coconut milk.
Other liquid substitutes for your strawberry smoothie are
- Coconut milk
- Almond milk
- Dairy milk such as skim or 1% milk
Even though this smoothie is already a healthy option, there are other ways to make it even healthier. I LOVE to add additions once in a while to up the health factor of my smoothies.
Some great healthy additions to this smoothie are
- Protein powder
- Chia seeds
- Flax seeds
THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF STRAWBERRIES
The health benefits of strawberries need more credit. Packed with vitamins, fiber, and particularly high levels of antioxidants known as polyphenols, strawberries are a sodium-free, fat-free, cholesterol-free, low-calorie food. These are exceptionally good for your heart health, increase HDL (good) cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, and guard against cancer.
