Impress your date with this easy-to-make the perfect steak. This mouth-watering garlic butter steak is tender and juicy on the inside, while seared and caramelized on the outside.
This 20-minute steak recipe is cooked entirely on the stovetop in one pan. This is my family’s favorite steak recipe. It is paired great with oven roasted vegetables.
INGREDIENTS
2 boneless top sirloin steak (1 pound)
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/3 cup coconut amino
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
DIRECTIONS
MARINADE
In a large bowl, combine the steak strips with coconut amino, olive oil, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Set aside and allow steak strips to marinate for 1 hour to absorb some of the seasonings before cooking
GARLIC BUTTER
Mix 1 tablespoon butter with parsley, and garlic.
Butter can make steak recipes more delicious by using it as a basting tool when cooking and to impart flavor once cooked.
STEAK
HOT TIP: For a juicy and tender steak, you want an even sear and seal. To accomplish this do not move or turn the meat until halfway through cooking time.
Preheat the pan for 5 minutes before adding steak for the perfect sear.
A steak’s internal temperature continues to rise as it rests, so remove steaks from the pan about 5-10 degrees before reaching your desired doneness.
In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add steak; cook until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°), 4-7 minutes per side. Serve with garlic butter.
HOT TIP: Letting the meat rest after cooking will redistribute the juices throughout, resulting in a nice and juicy steak.
MEAL PREP
I use my leftover steak for meal prep. Cooked beef can be refrigerated for 4 days.
