Quick and easy to whip up these Honey BBQ Crockpot Meatballs are minimal ingredients and one of the best party appetizers that feed a crowd.
Just in case you are looking for something amazing to serve at a get-together or potluck, this recipe would be perfect! You can prepare all the meatballs and keep them warm in a crockpot or a commercial warming pan. In general, ceramics and glass will hold their heat better than metal pans, so opt for those if possible. Once you pour the sauce over the baked meatballs, cook it on low for about an hour.
Child-Friendly Honey BBQ Meatballs
Meatballs are my go-to for a quick afterschool or party appetizer. In our home, we LOVE anything that is meatball related whether it be homemade or used with frozen meatballs. They are just a fun and go-to ingredient that is so versatile.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE quick and easy recipes and I say that religiously. Sometimes the best recipes out there are the ones that use minimal and easy ingredients. When our girls were younger, we only used 5 ingredients, that’s why the parsley and red pepper flakes are optional.
Most kids love to eat meatballs. Every time I make this recipe, I forget how much my girls love it. This is a kid-approved recipe for sure!! Kids love to eat meatballs because they are usually bite-sized and easy for them to eat.
We love barbecue sauce, and we love meatballs, so this recipe was a perfect match. I love this recipe because it is perfect for the whole family and a great recipe for large crowds.

HOW TO SERVE HONEY BBQ MEATBALLS AS AN APPETIZER
The thing I love about this recipe is that it can be served as a meal or as an appetizer.
When I serve meatballs as an appetizer, I usually serve them out of my crockpot. I find this to be the perfect way to serve because it keeps them warm.
HOT TIP: If you are serving your meatballs in a crockpot be sure to turn your crockpot to warm mode and stir now and then.
If you are serving as an appetizer, arrange meatballs on a serving platter with a toothpick.
How to store leftover Honey BBQ Meatballs
MEAL PREP
To refrigerate: If you have leftovers, you can refrigerate or freeze the leftovers in an airtight container and place them in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
To freeze: Place in an airtight container and place in the freezer for up to a month.
Hot Tip: I like to freeze them in individual serving sizes so they can be quickly reheated for one.
